Sweets and Dishes of 90's




Here are some of the most famous and loved sweets, dishes ,etc... during early 90's.




 We all love to spread some fruits over our toast. Melon Jam was the popular and widely used during those days.

 No matter which country you are from, if you use to be in Qatar during 90's ;you probably must have tasted this.

 There were many popular sweets, but this one was cheap and every kid loved its taste. May be because it was one of the few sweets that offered the milky flavor or else it had many sweets wrapped inside the main cover.

 Fruitti Orange, it was so cheap and every single grocery used to have this in their refrigerator. And when its turned into ice, it super cool and loved every single bite of it.

 Omani chips + laban.... just wow... the taste... spicy flavour our the chips + the freshness of cold laban..worth it

 Sweet shops are always popular. But some were outstanding.         

 Chiclets gums, if the shopkeeper did not have the change, he would offer us this fruit chewing gum. And this had a kind of weird it.

 If you love to shampoo, you probably is a fan or at-least used Sunslik once in your life time. Today the entire product from package to the inside product is changed.

 NO idea if it is still running. But they were the best baker and produced a variety of bakery products. The most famous is the Butter Cream Bun.

 There was a time in Qatar, when you can find this kind of vending machines all over the country. Today its a vintage or a classical collection.

 We were all fooled by ladies by making us think that there are sweets inside it, but it was used to safely keep the tailoring tools.

 Yam Yum, you can find this even today. Same great taste just the outer design has changed.

 Aleesa, the Arabic dish that our Qatari neighbors used to offer us during Ramadan. 

 The poor kids M&M. Colorful and tasty. Comes in a variety of packages.

 The Petra Felafil. For Qr. 2 you could fill our tummy. Really tasty and nutritious. 

 The Crystal hot chilly sauce. Found in all restaurant and cafeteria tables. 

 The hamus. The Arabian dish so tasty and equally nutritious for you.
